Working primarily with the owners of marketing communications agencies seeking to grow their businesses, Marc helps enhance the value of their companies and monetize their business wealth.

Marc David Newman, Principal

Marc’s talents include sound business and marketing judgment, profit growth, acquisitions business systems.

He is a contract CFO of a leading integrated marketing agency and was a partner in succession planning and acquisitions firm specializing in the MarCom space. A graduate of Georgetown University, with a degree in accounting, Marc also served as director of annual giving for the University of Rochester and was a special risk underwriting analyst at JP Morgan Chase.

Marc’s in-depth knowledge of entrepreneurship comes from 17 years of first-hand experience as founder and CEO of Crème de la Crème, a regional wholesale dessert manufacturing firm. In that role, he built from scratch a distribution network that included seven states, and directed and guided the company’s sales and marketing efforts that resulted in exponential growth.

His community service involvements have included the American Red Cross, the NYS Restaurant Association, Strathallan Charitable Associates, and the Rochester Area Community Foundation.

Barry Strauber, Principal

Barry is an energetic, entrpreneurial focused and accomplished 30 year veteran of the advertising industry. He has worked for agencies on the east & west coasts, such as Young & Rubicam, Saatchi & Saatchi, Della Femina and Draft FCB. In Rochester, Barry worked at partners + napier for 12 years as Vice President of Agency Creative Services.

Currently he is a professor at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), where he teaches marketing. He’s also a member of the RIT Dean’s Advisory Board where he looks for opportunities to integrate new technologies & marketing practices in order to expand student learning and success.

Barry is founder of Rising NY, a virtual network of diversely talented marketing and branding professionals that he has connnected to clients such a Coca Cola, Microsoft, ESPN,Groupon, Cadbury, Xbox, Applebee’s and Bausch + Lomb.

As a service to the community, Barry also co-founded Carlson Cowork, a 16,000 square foot co-working space with over 60 member companies that serves as an ecosystem for MarCom and other related entrepreneurs in Rochester, NY.
